Does anyone know any good sources for information about quad channel ddr5 running on Ryzen?
I’m trying to research if anyone is making progress or is mapping out compatibility lists etc.
All I can find amounts to “ryzen doesn’t like 4 sticks” etc, nothing about actual attempts being made and how far they got.
Is there any mad scientist documenting their quad channel experimentation that you know about?
Check your motherboard’s QVL list for compatible memory kits.
It’s not the number of sticks, it’s the number of memory ranks. So you can typically do 4 single rank sticks or 2 dual rank sticks at EXPO speeds. The problem is consumer memory rarely specifies the number of ranks as they may swap suppliers based on what’s cheap/available.

The most thorough investigation here’s mostly dual channel.
What exactly are you trying to solve? Stick to JEDEC specs and you’ll be fine irregardles of being listed in QVL or not if you go with the major brands such as Crucial/Micron, Samsung, Kingston and SK Hynix.
