Does Asahi support any kind of dual booting? Will it run in a VM?

The Asahi installation script sets the system up for dual booting by default. It’s a bit of a chore switching between the two (no grub), but it’s definitely usable. You need to turn the machine off and then hold the power button until the mac’s boot loader starts up. Oh, it survived a MacOS update too!

I’m pretty sure it’ll run in a VM - it’s just Arch Linux (Arm) with an extra repository.

thought I would post. Working on a Temp situation at the moment. Using my wifes laptop till my system gets built. Trying out Fedora 36 at the moment. Not too shabby. Still working on Cross platform packaging and how it all works. anyway.

neofetch.

I have no ‘color blocks’ displayed. I have looked at the config.conf and 'color_blocks=“on” is enabled. Neofetch displays perfectly but no color blocks. Any suggestions?
This issue is on a Kali VMWARE and an UTM virtual machine (Kernel: 5.18.0-kali7-arm64) on a M1 Mac. BTW neofetch does display with color blocks on the M1 mac itself just not in any of the Kali VMs. Thanks in advance for your help!

I guess having a fetch post as my first post is not a bad idea haha

That 3060 is going to be replaced by an used 3090 I bought this week, going to power limit it to 250W because my poor 650W PSU won’t handle more than it and I’m not planning on buying a new PSU anyways; ~93% of the original performance should be more than enough for me.

Yea I am liking my 7950x. Where 5950x gets between 4 and 8fps for av1 coding, my 7950x is hitting 12-13fps. Congrats on the upgrade.
