All depends on the PCIe from the chipset. If its 3.0 switch would be possible.
All depends on price difference and feature differences between X399 and X570.
I might be a little bit of an amd fanboy, but I am optimistic about navi. It’s no secret that amd pulled resources from gpu development for cpu development in the past. Navi is a callaboration with sony. I would expect at the very least to see big gains at the low and mid range. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nvidia still has the most powerful single gpu.

im interested in “new” tech although zen 1 was new and zen 2 is a revision and navi seems to be gcn arch so no “new” gpu arch.
