I know about the Kingston kit (KSM56E46BD8KM-48HM), but what other options are there now, over a year later? Anything 4800MT/s and up seems perfectly acceptable; doesn’t have to be 5600MT/s.
(Hynix chips are preferred, but happy to see all available options!)
I’ve also been looking. The Kingston UDIMMs along with SK Hynix HMCGY8MEBRB (DDR5-4800) are the only ones on the market.
And the latter are insanely overpriced on an already ridiculously expensive product type (ECC UDIMMs). The Kingstons are faster and at least somewhat affordable.
Looking at just Newegg to get a quick/rough idea, 64GB seems to be almost double the cost of 48GB. I can drop down to 32GB sticks, but was really hoping to get 192GB at the top end (over many years), not just 128GB.
Their slow 48GB stick are closer to what I’m trying to spend. I’d like to spend, at most, $200/stick. Even more ideal: buying just 1 stick to start with.
I’ve found the previously linked Kingston ones at $251 (>$370 at other retailers) for 1 stick, but pending a restock. That’s a bit high, but I could probably stomach it. I see the NEMIX version of these sticks also available for $250/stick.
