Active USB cable for HID

Wondering what the best solution is for HID inputs in the LvL1 KVM when it is in another room. Was looking at using something like this but was looking for suggestions

can’t do hubs on the hid ports, only on the usb3 ports.

@amber knows one of the usb2-over-cat5 options that we have used in the past. it can be a little tricky to find the right kind of extension.

So then do you normally only do the Keyboard over HID (or whatever the KVM shortcuts will be mapped to) and then the mouse on USB3?
