I just did another test and came up with about 5500 at the end, but I checked the individual score for the CPU and it said 11,000 something. Was I reading the wrong score?
Plus I turned all my fans on highest and the temps never reached past 75c.
I am thinking of getting a better aftermarket one yeah, i probably won't be OCing, or if I do it'll only be a small amount. I mainly want the quietest CPU cooler that I can find that would be suitable for a small/non-existent OC.
But also a terrible chip if you ask me. You definitely not won the sillicon lottery. and if you had ever suffer from 1.7V core voltage, i assume it definitely took some of its lifespan.
i would definitely try to RMA it. Because even on stock cooler, it shouldn´t be that terrible. i would just complain, that whatever you do, it overheats like crazy on stock and throttles.
Cool just making sure this was not the same problem. But yeah like Angel says below get some nice cooling and if still no change then RMA. A good cooler is always something you should have any way so it is not a pointless expense.
why don't you have the stock cooler? I would just upgrade or try another cooler first say a cheap Cooler Master 212 Hyper or evo it's only 30 bucks. Anything higher in terms of price and preformance would be Noctua and Watercooling AIO.
That CPU should not be hitting these temps, that's the bottom line. Something is wrong with it. Also the benchmark scores differ way too much. I think RMA is the only solution.
