Yes in a professional enviroment where every detail counts a Quadro is prefered but in any sort of animation software or game design or anything where the smallest detail does not make a big difference if it ot by a fraction. Would you grab a quadro or a Titan? I know most Uni's still recomend Quadro's and atleast an i7 (Has to have hyperthreading for some reason) But for the average animator modeler and photoshop user at a high level, They are better off with an average Quadro and a high end Titan. Sure you get 6GB's of memory instead of 12 but its more than enough if your running a high speed scratch disk.
