First season of Fringe was amazing …
After that it got atrocious…
I know. But I literally skip all ross’n’rachel (and similar). Just as a “glue”/break between the interesting stuff.
I’ve got a massive backlog, and lately I’ve been revisiting shows I already watched—this time in 4K, just like I did with Chernobyl.
My plan is to clear out the junk drawer of my movie/show library by re‑watching what still matters and then deleting everything else. For a while I’d rely on “Movies Explained” videos for titles that were either must‑see or not worth it, but now I’m ready to dive into real cinema. actually, sit down and watch.
oops i forgot to say what i am watching right now, Ningen Fushin. i saw a clip of the show and i got intrigued.
Whoosh, is this forum dead or what.
This is the second topic from the top.
Well, anyway.
I finished Wolf’s Rain last week and now I’m on Sunabozu.
Old school October.
Started the live action One Piece. Never saw the anime, but familiar with how popular it is.
I’m gonna finish the first season at least, but I’m not really sold. I was hoping this would be a ‘serious’ take on it. But it’s not. The anime-level cheese and incredibly, incredibly simple plot structure in a live action show is very jarring. I know that was intentional and I’m sure fans of the original love it, but I’m not a fan of anime.
Before that was Rick and Morty S8. Took a large step back toward the good old days after the disappointing s7. Not all the way, but I didn’t ever find myself thinking “this is kinda bad” like I did during 7.
I also have a similar opinion about S07/08, although it is still a gap compared to the first seasons.
Watching A House of Dynamite.

A movie on Netflix about possible nuclear attack/war.
The Drinker left a pretty bad review of it but it had me on edge th whole time.
I appreciated lots of the small details etc.
I agree with the reviews that the third act was probably not necessary. But as far as Netflix slop goes, its better than most.
Unfortunately Dave Plumber actually made his “millions” off of running a scam website in the early 2000s and not from working at Microsoft like he so often tries to imply. It’s very sad for me that I can’t watch his videos anymore on moral grounds because he was the one who helped me figure out my (very likely) diagnosed ASD
