I gather Wendell has solo endeavours anway like his Wendell Tron Youtube channel, but I would be nice to see him involved or invited to be a part of collaborations / perspectives on other Youtube channels (as he has with Linus in the past)

I'm a home user, but a computer enthusiast too, and is great to see better applications that are useful and great for everyday use. Plus the capabilities that come with, for example, creating a home firewall.
You are the best in the team that can show that kind of things, period.

There are places on the forum to take your grievances. Starting a new thread on it is redundant.
As long as we can not see what has been deleted it is always going to be Stalin Syndicate

That.. I can't even.
It's deleted.. the whole point is you can't see it otherwise the place would be filled with the spam that was posted earlier today.
Mods can see deleted posts and can review anything that's happened. These forums have always been a place of transparency and people have always been able to question what we do.
Everyone in this community already knows that.

It should be, trust but verify.
I am not saying we should not trust the moderators,
but there is evidence that people with power have abused the trust of the community.
I think a notice in place of the deleted post with an option to view would be very transparent.
And a notice on the account for spamming would work.
Who knows when will be the next time every moderator is banned and the forum is left upside down.
The people who spend their time posting off topic in a derailed thread come back for the conversation.
Nobody wants to be formatted to do certain things in a certain way, the forum should be formatted so that it is good for everyone.

If this off topic post gets deleted, don't worry, you'll be able to view the valuable picture that was censored in an upcoming deleted posts repository.

If there was a serious concern about a moderator they would likely lose their role.
90% of the time you don't see the moderation.. because there is no moderation that includes deleting posts or suspending users. Most of the time it's a quick talk or splitting a topic or stopping something getting out of hand by just asking people to take a second and think.
There's an option to view for all moderators, no one mod can censor someone without the others all being able to see it.
Making it visible to everyone would 1 defeat the purpose and 2 leave spam everywhere, which makes up most of the stuff we delete a lot of the time. Not to mention some of it can break rules or laws .
If someone's post is deleted they can (and have) ask about it, there's nothing stopping anyone doing that.
@SoulFallen I think can attest to the fact that we tend to step in only when things are about to or have gone completely to crap .
No one wants to be formatted. But there are rules, a few of them are legal things, the rest are so we call all have a good time here. None are unreasonable unless your only purpose is to disrupt everyone.
Accounts also list deleted posts and suspensions and warnings, but they are only visible to mods I think. I doubt it would be a good idea to make them publicly visible.

Yeah... theres a lot of things the mods let go that would be deleted in a heart beat on other forums @Bergs and if you ask them why a post got deleted they will be open with you. I think you're questioning the wrong people the moderators of this forum have been actively fighting with Logan to keep his censorship crap out.

tHERE should be no Comment Filtering here. The People, the Forum built this community. No one should censor anything.. If you want to prosper, let there be democracy. We should know what is happening within the community. not like this that it is all censored.. GOD!
You need mods / admins to keep the debate / content in check otherwise crude aspects of injected dialogue on the forum may get out-of-hand.

Can we please stop comparing moderation with lack of free expression and comment filtering. Every public community needs moderation and rules. The rules are specific. You complain if the mods do not follow the rules. That would be bad moderation. And i do not think deleting 15 copies of the same post as bad moderation. Get over it.

I like the community, i just don't like where the community is now going with all this changes...
the forum hasn't changed, just the leadership
tbf not even that has changed much either, everyone just hates logan now
