See how easy it is to do good pr when people have a sense of trust? @wendell has more good faith to me, I'm willing to wait. I would be sad to see him fade away, @Logan was cool long ago, but I always had a suspicion that @wendell was the nerdy part I liked about the tek, last few episodes proved that to me. @logan also hasn't been the same since moving to Seattle and even more different from his time in Portland. Hope he really happy, I wouldn't want anyone to be depressed and sad where they are at, imo @Logan seems less happy now then back then and is less fun to watch.
Looking forward to what you do @wendell, please think about doing a show like the TEK, really like hearing your thoughts and insights on things.
I have to say. I have been following the content Tek Syndicate has made since it started. I watched The Tek since episode one. I am 21 and own a computer repair business. I also work as a contractor. One of the first people I started watching videos on was @Logan when he was doing stuff for Tiger Direct back in the day. I Love Logan and Albert's videos. Albert's motherboard reviews where my favorite. Never the less as much as I have a attachment to Logan and the content he contributes to. I cannot stand by and support him. A lot of the fuck ups in his handling where that of a first time business owner but the lack of communication and the way he handled the community is terrible. Plus, I like your content a lot better. Not because of personality but because I feel like your word is dependable. I also feel like I can relate to you on a mental sense. I just hope you and Logan can come out of this better then you went in and later have little to no resentment. For as I understand your long time friends. I wish you both the best even if that means nothing coming from a random long time fan on the net. In the end. I follow Wendell.
Wendell, thank you for all you have done and are doing for us. I will be following you where you go, and be supporting you and the content you make. I will also be following Qain and supporting him and his content.
I will not be staying if Logan runs and owns this forum. He burnt us more than he could ever know, and I will not forgive him for it. As far as Pistol is concerned, I have nothing to say, she is not worth mentioning in this as she is only a video production assistant, nothing more.
As more of a lurker than a poster, but an avid YouTube fan, I'm torn to see this happening. I can identify with Logan as an artist because I am one, but I know my limits. Which is why when we formed our production company, I abdicated myself from all things business. I direct and control the content. Our bean counter puts money where it needs to go and our production manager makes sure we don't kill each other. It isn't perfect, but it would be worse If I was managing the funds.
As a fan, however, I feel like the way Logan is handling all of this is insulting. Tek Syndicate would be nothing without the community, and has always put the community first, which is why was able to grow as it did. I'm not going to make absolutist statements like "I'll never forgive Logan" but regardless of what @Logan may feel about how he conducted himself, He has burned us with his actions and at the very least, needs to address our concerns in a logical manner similar to the way @wendell has. And understand that we are as important to his business as any shareholder.
We aren't the uneducated masses, and we are most definitely not children sitting through "mommy and daddy's" divorce. Yes there are legal things that need to be addressed in private, but in the interim, a logical, adult explanation of Logan's position would have gone a long way toward not having this massive up-welling of antagonism against him. As opposed to simply razing the world and the community with it.
I've said this several times before, and this is the last time. This is everyone's final Verbal warning. Stop trolling about, stop directly commenting to eachother just to argue.
If you can't be civil, you aren't welcome here.
You are not going to change anyone's mind here. The people involved don't need you to defend them.
I suggest everyone chill out and wait for the next announcement that someone makes, and move on.
I disagree. Especially considering how competent businesses are known for disciplining the offending person or party. That is what should've happened to this issue. But it sadly didn't, the incident just escalated into something way worse.
I for one think that Wendell's ability to forge up concepts such as the centicow is the kind of creativity we need for a strong running business. I mean it's only genius, feeds a village on a single loin. It's really no debate tbh, Wendell has the background of running businesses, the creative drive, the entrepreneurship we need in a growing business, no doubt in my mind he rightfully should be entitled to those in which he claims with the division of his shares from the company.
The very first video I watched with Logan as the host, many many years ago, was exciting and interesting at the same time! I have followed his career over the years through the good and bad times even when he was almost totally absent from online media, he is and always will be an entertainer and a guide for many people. I see this entire business venture as being a difficult learning curve for him and his team, and unfortunately he is not suited to being a business manager, this role, in whatever capacity should have been given to someone with the correct skill set. Hopefully the lesson has been learned and changes will be made, and with even more hope there can be some level of reconciliation between Logan and Wendell.
Wendell has captured my attention with his level of knowledge and great personality, he is the legitimate genius that TEKSYNDICATE so desperately needed, he also provides the team with a great amount of credibility.
Wendell I will no doubt follow you in times to come, however I feel that not many things in life are final and can't be solved with a genuine apology and an honest road forward, lets hope Logan steps up and makes this happen.
I support Wendell and feel bad for Qain. They were the brains behind the operation and got pushed into this "drama" by the nasrcist Logan and the self absorbed troll Pistol.
They can have their edgy teenagers and their safe space for hipsters. I will follow what Wendell and Qain does. I have no sympathy for other people on Tek Syndicate.
This is part of the problem. I'm not saying any of this out of anger, I just want the Tek Syndicate Crew/Mods/Admins to understand that this type of reaction is what is turning so many members of the community off. @ThisHertz 's post may have sounded harsh, but it's just one more piece of sincere honest feedback that is treated as if it doesn't count. Treating the community like they don't count and never counted. I realize Hutch is trying to do good by the community, but it feels insincere. I don't know how you're supposed to fix this tarnished image problem... I wish I did, but I know this kind of stuff isn't helping.
Again, this isn't meant to be negative, only informative.
I'm watching all the other youtube channel, pick up the rest of them, like leeches trying to enhance their own channels......lets hope Wendell just does his own thing, and does it well. I'll watch.
@imaximus I understand what you are getting at, but it's also good to remember that the mod staff, and the forum in general, is not a hive mind. We all have different views on things and we discuss and debate important actions/decisions quite frequently. Im sure that we all have different opinions on the 'tekxit'. Some of us have been quite vocal and up front about our stance on things, while others are taking a different route. Each individual has their own reasons for how they view the current state of things and that, in my opinion, is not just ok, but prefered.
