Ow wow people get upset because a moderator deletes a topic about a video that has been spammed a gazillion times.
As far as the rules of moderation are concerned, dual posts will get deleted or locked as much as possible.
Unless there is a good reason not to, which in this case there wasnt any.
So the moderator did what he/she was supposed to do.
And that is that.
This forum is a public community on the internet.
There are rules and regulations that counts for everyone.

I love the mods, a nicely moderated community with mods part and for the community is the best kind. The community is nice because of the mods work, it exists still because of the work of the mods and Wendell.
I am still trying to figure out how to emulate this kind of thing for a different type of community.

Now for something completely different
The forums have literally not changed at all. The changes occurring are happening on the business side, of which the mod staff is not involved. We are not employed by TS and are volunteers from the community. Wendell maintains administration over the forum which he always has and the mod staff remains the same as its been for quite some time now.
You are likely just noticing a bit more moderation lately as we try to deal with the fallout of the 'tekxit' and Logan's shenanigans on the forum. There has been an increase in spam and troll accounts springing up in response to the current state of things on the business side and we've been dealing with that as best we can.

Deliberately only observed but didn't respond with an opinion on things done or said and the 'situation'.
The 'camp' Wendell and 'camp' Logan crap people are creating is only making it worse, that..is my opinion that i do want to share, because that is not the 'community' and that does feel a bit like sand in my underpants.
But it's an understandable reaction to me as in; i don't stand behind it, but i understand.
You just described anarchy, not democracy.

I only come here on the odd occasion, but when I have I can only commend the community for the reception I've been given, the advice and opinions offered, and that generally gooey goodness feel... mmmm..
Only just found out any of this happened, and I'm more than a little bewildered, not that I am surprised this has happened (not due to any ill wishes or derogatory opinions), but that doesn't help the warm feel good gooeyness has certainly depreciated... and that, is very sad... I cannot in all honest give any opinion on what is the 'right' way to go, only that I hope the things that made this community great, its open nature, be it in the sharing of information or general kind outlook towards people (i know there are exceptions, there always are), manages to survive. in whatever guise it can.
to be a little more specific, plant my flag if you will, i do hope, that the community is taken up and led by an individual to understands the gains of the positive aspects i mentioned earlier, has the knowledge and will to share that knowledge that this community craves and flourishes around..and yes, I hope that is you @wendell

On the company thing. Having a company around it is sensible. All threse kind of things have one. When your taking in some revenue to potentially pay people or to be able to go places, you need to have that money handled properly. You do that by having a company.
And by having people in that company qualified/trusted to be able to carry out those responsibilities. (Accountant/Finance Manager ect.)

Is it just me or has nobody noticed there was no 'The Tek' this 'past' week and we have not even received a Inbox video, hell even a WASD's vid would be ok. I'm sure there is real reasons why nothing appears to be happening but it just feels rather poor considering some people are still giving money via Patreon, these people appear to have amazing faith in Logan's productivity.....
