I saw a favorite book thread, so I figured I'd start a favorite movie thread. I limited the number to 15, because I feel it makes us make choices with more emotion (so as to not leave out what we truly love). Here are my top 15, from most to least favorite. It was a very difficult decision.
1.) American Beauty
2.) Aliens (yes, I mean the second one, and no it's just a coincidence that it is number 2 on my list)
Forex, I'm interested to know why Full Metal Jacket is on your list. Of all Kubrick movies, that's probably one of my least favorites. Different strokes for different folks I guess, just wondering. Also, +1 for liking Pandorum. That was pretty close to making my list as well (if you couldn't tell by my username :P).
Here they are,,, be amaze...numerical order does not represent which one is my favorite
1. this is england 2. amores perros 3. lock stock and two smoking barrels 4. sherlock holmes 5. sherlock holmes: a game of shadows 6. the pope's toilet 7. the big lebowski 8. serenity 9. alien 10. shaun of the dead 11. the way 12. lost in translation 13. the man who knew too little 14. cast away 15. prometheus
It might take me a while to come up with a list of my 15 favorites, but some I definitely think are awesome are Casino Royale, Gladiator, The Matrix, and the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. LOTR is good too, but I personally thought Return of the King was kind of a let down. The original Star Wars trilogy is also amazing. I saw Argo recently too, and that was a kickass movie.
kinda bafled that only one have any of the new batman movies..?

1. LOTR (mainly the last two..)
2. Matrix (all three)
3. The Dark Knight
4. The Dark Knight Rises
5. Jurasic Park (could argue that the lost world should be on here too, but dunno)
