True. I might wait for the 2nd revision of Ryzen. If there is one.
If Ryzen comes out with an itx mobo, I'm all in.
FTFY
They have a chipset specifically designed for small form factor boards. I don't remember which it is, and there aren't currently mini ITX boards on show, but they should definitely exist for AM4.
AM4 absolutely will have mITX boards, think about all the APU stuff that is coming.
Zen APU with HBM, and a Chopin case would make one hell of a console killer.
Is that all yours?
yep.
Jesus.
I mean... I was at the New Horizon event :D
Seems familiar :)
Well, he is a MEMBER after all... Red team plus member...
I still like AMD's design philosophy better. Intel makes you buy the White Album all over again, anytime you upgrade CPUs cause they can't ever stick with a single socket. Over the last five years, it's been getting progressively harder to keep supporting them, when Intel has made strides in performance and even power consumption.
My plan is based around budget.
$800 - $ AM4 board - $ 16GB DDR4 = $ Ryzen budget +/- $50
The budget is actually double that but I'm saving that for Vega.
Where is the liquid cooling in that budget?
machining my own blocks.
I already have tons of rads and fittings.
It would not because it can't play console games.
I want a matching baseball cap and shirt!
