My initial human reaction of nuke them from orbit it’s the only way to be sure. Its tempered now. I realise the world is run by idiots and they need many things. If the CoC is sane and SJW want to read the kernel dev email list that you can’t delete like twitter to curate a media idiot shit fest.
So be it. I need linux to succeed. There is nothing else like it.
Looks like they removed most of it’s teeth, so that’s good, at least, but the patches have ironically not addressed my primary concern about vague terms.
I can’t agree more. I’m extremely satisfied with the Kind Communication Guidelines.
If I ever find myself in need of a community guideline, I’m gonna use that. Maybe just add a clause of “if you feel you have been wronged, contact leadership here”
The GNU Project encourages contributions from anyone who wishes to advance the development of the GNU system, regardless of gender, race, religion, cultural background, and any other demographic characteristics, as well as personal political views.
Footnote
There are various ways to express gender neutrality in third-person singular pronouns in English. One method, used by many, is singular use of “they.” Another method is described in https://stallman.org/articles/genderless-pronouns.html. (Using “he or she” fails to respect gender identities other than male and female.)
