So i've managed to get a free Sony FW900 CRT Monitor.
Thats a beast.

any nostalgia or tips from you guys?
(i don't have it at home yet but i can't wait)

@mumblevagabond Has been digging up all the dirt on what these monitors can do. Maybe he'll pop in and reveal his secrets.

Personally I've always wanted an FW900 after my P991 fizzled out after 12 years of faithful service. Just can't have something so heavy when I move all the time. Hope you get to enjoy it!

What card has a higher than 400 Mhz RAMDAC? 68Hz is the highest possible @ 2560 x 1600 no??

Unless the HDMI to VGA adapter says it has a 475Mhz DAC I wouldn't bother, The ramdac is the bottleneck, not the monitor.

I would gladly pay an extra £100 for a special 500Mhz edition 980ti

1920x1200@60Hz is the most that cable will do, Are they a subsidiary of Monster? lol

A $10 piece of crap HDMI to VGA Converter With 3.5mm Audio will do the same job for PS4/XBone

they all use the same shitty 200Mhz dacs because of the glorious 1080P standard

it was on a foam sleeping mat, and a sleeping bag. not my fault it was unstable.
