That was priceless

Currently holding onto @mumblevagabond 's monitors until LAN syndicate....
Does anyone see any serious concern with my form transport? Besides them being face down on deep plush seats? I mean this isn't wine stem glass here, it's a 100lb CRT...
(yes the seatbelts are stretched & locked so they dont extend.
These are fantastic displays. There's a 10 year old thread dedicated to the FW900 over http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=952788, and it's still active.
You'll definitely want to do a WinDAS white point balance to get the most out of them. See my guide http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1830788
I always used to transport my monitors and tv's like that,
Never went wrong.
But you got two :O awesome.
Not to mention if you transport them any other way you're going to have very hard weight balance issues.... due to the huge think glass piece. They might roll around and be unstable
yup them old monitors (beeldbuizen as called in dutch) (tubes?) are incredibly front heavy.
@spacediver
haha yeah i saw that,
But i don't have any measurement apparatus laying around
So is it easily overclockable to 2560X1440? because i might want to do some 16:9 stuff on that monitor (i know that i'd have some black bars)
I assume you could just zoom it to 16:10 so no bars or a slight zoom so thin bars
I use CRU 1.2.1 by ToasyX

What graphics card are you using? Hopefully not AMD 290 or higher..
Thank you right now i'm using a 7850 but when ive got the moneys i'll upgrade to a r9 280 or 280X / 7950 7970
I remember why i eagerly jumped on lcd and led panels. Love having space on my desk.
As long as it has a DVI-I port it's fine (which they do), whereas a 290,X,390,X,Fury,X don't.
380,X does.
yeah i might have some space issues haha
another important question is ... do you keep a cat in the house? cats like to sit on big crt's.
Only Hawaii and Newer LACK ramdacs
This means 290(x) 390(x) and Fury cards dont have them.
I cant speak for tonga though
tonga does not
Yes.. yes i do
When I had a big old 32" CRT TV I had a plastic shelf thing with adjustable legs that sat on top, Doesn't block heat and discourages the cat from sleeping on there while its all nice and warm.

I should have kept it.
Easy enough to make your own though eh
Ah nice indeed easy to make.
Lets first see if he is going to lay on top of it.
He doesnt lay on top of laptops.
