[Qemu/KVM] Windows 10 Getting Exception code: 0xc0000005 when playing games

Hi everyone, I was able to get my GPU up and running on my Windows 10 guest machine thanks to @gnif 's help.
The performance is great and I’m not having issues most of the time but when I try to play Remnant 2 random crashes like
Out of video memory trying to allocate a texture which I know it’s not true because I’m using RX 7800XT 16GB.
and AMDRSServ.exe: Application Error. The instruction at referenced memory at 0x000000. The memory cannot be read

Looking at the Windows event logger I noticed that I keep getting this exception code 0xc0000005.
I have test two games, Remnant 2 and Helldivers 2.

Capture1
Capture2

I know it’s an Access Violation exception and I’m suspecting that it could be the RAM.
Is it because I don’t have HugePages setup?

Here is my XML

Thanks a lot for your time <3

Update: Fixed.

It was a HugePages issue. I have no idea why but when I configured HugePages on the host. Everything went smooth and the crashing stopped. So far.

This is usually caused by enabling ReBar but the guest is not aware of it and as such the GPU is in a badly configured state by the guest drivers.

See: The state of AMD RX 7000 Series VFIO Passthrough (April 2024)

It’s showing that it’s enabled, the error seems to go away by enabling HugePages. I’ve been playing consistently without any crashes.
