@bedHedd my issues aren’t the same as his in that I’ve never dealt with Corsair service. I just have had 30ish years of these issues. Then on top of my experience with these issues I have also dealt with a lot of the same companies as a “regular customer” and as a Authorized reseller/OEM etc. Plus having lived between the US and Canada I’ve also seen the very different responses you get.
Frankly I hate Linus just because he’s good at marketing and various business things but then people take him as a tech guru and he’s really quite the idiot.
@Adam_Jensen As for buildzoid and a lot of other tech youtubers I know of them but don’t really watch or care. A lot of the pushing hardware stuff to me is stuff I don’t care about anymore. Even when I did I’d always push via cooling. Sure there might have been the odd time I’d push voltages or do something crazy like add a custom VTT to my motherboard but I was young and had energy for dumb chit haha. Now I want the damned thing to turn on when I hit power. I still expect a lot which is why I built a monster for A/V / Dev workloads but I couldn’t give two craps about spending all day testing voltages and timings anymore. As long as I can start 5 or 6 VM’s all with 8Gb of RAM each and play Tarkov while crap is compiling and watching a video on my (normally) 12 screens I’m good.
I missed all of this, and have no read it all but just joining in to say…
Yes.
I have had a horrible experience with corsair about 10 years ago now and while it worked out better, they still did everything in their power to make sure I never got all of my money back.
This was their European branch too so it so universal, across the entire company, and across several years. Corsair are scum.
dude are u my twin lol i do fuck all with my pc that runs a 99% userbenchmark and just watch youtube garbage. gaming and overclocking got boring cause hardware is old news and games are just scams.

Soooo what happened June 2021? Where there threats made or something?
It sounded like the guy was polite. Nobody likes being stuck between corporate policy and angry customer. If there is no ticket able to be generated under your info, the guy probably can’t escalate it properly but he offered to try.
no no this tech was not the issue
he was the 3rd tech i caled tho about the same issued he was the best tech i ever had @ corsair.
was hung up by previous 2 techs cause they wont answer my (what i think are reasonable questions. how i got banned why etc they hung up on me. even management has not said why it was suspended and why i was not at-least robot emailed or something. i was a customer of theirs for 12 years. i can record in canada so get wrecked. i found a bigger problem i call blacklist. essentially if you get your account suspended you are considered refused service which is w.e who cares. but you dont even get a robot email saying dont buy our 4000d airflow cause its final sale no warranty sold as is. management never mentioned any violence or anything i have official bbb report with their answers. they first said i opened the keyboard(ps i dint even use it. looking for keycaps that are black turns out hard at night and counter productive to gaming and overclocking mx reds are hard on the finger tips i have the emails of them saying i opened it. they havent even looked at it lol and i have the emails to prove it but i also have BBB msg, they changed their story when confronted by the BBB. they told the BBB my warranty is now expired
just cause of time and i dont have receipts on me
separately i also had an m64 rbg pro and the clam shell left/right click died in 6 hours. began to double click then eventually failed so i pulled the shell off. theres literally nothing holding it on just 1 clip at the rear of the mouse and sure enough the under side of the mouse buttons was worn down. this is a result of using lower density plastic to save money. how much money buys a good corsair mouse? cause 100$ was not enough. i also looked this up its like the #1 failure. double clicking or just no click. actually it is important i find out what type of plastic they used on this model. math is easy if the plastic is softer then the omron switch the switch wins every time
