You know how you can add flour to fry up and then add liquid and make a roux?
Well I mixed flour and water and dumped it in. I told you - super lazy…

It’s OK. There was time when the gov tried to outlaw home made alcohol…
Guess how that worked out…

I have noticed… You had similarities with @Positron .
I have chosen a forum theme, that has round avatars and that kinda cuts out most of the speech bubble…

I do the super lazy way too. Two tablespoons flour and water in an old small jam jar. Shake and add to liquid. Works awesome!

Honestly, frying the flour up and adding the stew liquid and then mixing it all makes for a much tastier food, but I really had no time for that. And no will really. I just wanted food…

I could imagine that it would be political suicide to try and take that away from people…

I’ll try to make that meal next week when I have the ingredients.
My wife loves peas and I love pork so it’ll fit us well.

Fry up the pork.
Add some onions and garlic.
When it’s almost done, add some frozen peas and tomatoes.
Fry all those up and add some water so they simmer until the meat is tender.
Fry up some flour and paprika. Then add the liquid from the peas and meat.
When you get the roux, mix it back into the peas and meat. Let it simmer for like 5 minutes and take it off the stove.
Add some dill and you are done.
If you want to lazy, just mix water and flour and add it directly to the peas and meat, but then you need to let it cook for at least 15 minutes, cause the flour is raw…

PS: The same works for beans, potatoes, green beans, just vegetable mix of whatever you have in the fridge, it’s super common over here. Fry up some meat, add whatever veggies you have, add flour to thicken the liquid, done… Dinner is ready…

Thank you very much, I really appreciate this.

I think I will try frying some flour and put in a jar to save for thickening. That might give some extra flavor and be ready to use in an instant.

Are you gonna make a premade roux you insane person? You are gonna save like 5 minutes…

Exactly…lol.

There is actual reason for this. I have very bad knees so can’t stand for very long. In fact, I’m going to have double knee replacement surgery on March 8…

Glad I live in country with medical paid by taxes…
