I’ve been meaning to set up my PS2 again, but the Yamaha AV receiver I have is giving me some issues with video quality. My TV has limited inputs, so going with the AV receiver would have been a way to circumvent that.
I’m itching to play Time Splitters 2 again!
while changing the dvd drive i think i booped the controller memory card slot board and now mem 1 does not read i have reseated the ribbion i think it just bit the dust in many ways
well this puts a damper on my modding plans and now its a small repair job

We had a PS2 and we never had this remote - first time Ive even seen it. Is it a bundle or something?
Was a remote sold for the fat ps2s early in the life of the ps2. They had a ir receiver and a driver disc so if you hit eject on the menu (no eject on the remote) the disc try comes out.
Later on the slim models they built in the ir sensor and the remote eject software “lecture”
This is what made the ps2 the dvd king early on
