Pc crashing

pc crashing causing the whole computer to shut down with no prior Waring.

Issue began today, leading up to this issue the game was working fine on an old system that i just replaced and it was working on the new system for about 3 days while i was testing and setting up software. I got done setting every thing up last night and it worked fine moved the computer over to my desk and plugged every thing in, now after about 10 min of play the game shuts down the computer.

the issue does not happen on any other game

the game is not maxing my ram out so I dont believe it is a memory leak issue

i have ran memtest with nothing found

system is brand new so there is now oc yet

event viewer shows kernel 41 have swapped the pc and i am still having the same issue

validated files successfully

I'm not sure what else to try here guys please help!

this is a repost of

Check case temp when it turns off, possibly bad fan set up or fans failing.

Test with AIda64
https://www.aida64.com/

It will stress test your CPU and just monitor it's temps from the resource Monitor within Windows

It might be that the power plug you're connecting it to in your room is not good enough to handle the load of the PC so the PSU, to avoid any damages, shut the system down. Try to move it around the house and check with different outlets if the system still shuts down that way.

i have tried a hole new psu and a new power plug real temp is showing ok temps the cpu does not get over 60 and the gpu levels out at 85

it happens at least every other match in playerunknow's battlegrounds and happens very quickly in gta i have also got it to happen in the witcher but much less offter so we know its not the psu or temps

at this point i am just trying to avoid swapping hard ware have a feeling i will need to try it though :frowning: any other idea to narrow down the issue?

Try plugging the pc in in another room. Might be an issue with the cabels in the wall.

Have you tried changing the power options in windows.

interesting thought i have not i will try that to night and get back to you

ps god im going to be pissed if that is all it was
lol

things I have tried
-A new outlet(on a separate breaker)
-Unhooking all unnecessary component s such as case lighting extra monitors USBs extra
-ran memtest (no errors where found)
-swapped PSU
-Swapped GPU
-Stress tested extensively (can not narrow down the issue and have not been able to repeat in synthetic benchmarks)
-ran in high performance mode
-there looks to be no over heating issues or I would be able to repeat the issue more consistently

So far I can repeat the issue with in a couple games of player unknown's battlegrounds, gta, and a couple times in the witcher, was unable to repeat in Aida, prim95 unreal valley, superposition, or fire strike.

Is there any thing else any one can think of because I am about to kick the fucker out the window and buy console and a mac at this rate

You try a fresh install? update ssd firmware, update mobo bios ect

Will update again tomorrow after I reset windows and run updates

not seeing crash yet but did not have a long time to test
i will repost in a couple of days if the issues persists

I am having the same issue with this game, all of my temperatures are are fine. CPU, GPU, and RAM have passed hours of stress tests, have run all stress test at once to draw as much as I can from the PSU and did so for 4 hours. I cannot get my system to shutdown like it does from playing PUBG.

got it working, it was the hard drive, brand new wd black drive was spinning so fast it shook the desk, took it out the shaking stopped and the crashing stopped not sure what is wrong with the hdd just going to swap it

I have an SSD, everything in my computer is just a few months old.

fresh install of windows, if it does not work at least you'll know its hardware unless its only pubg

yea it is only happening on PUBG, no other game. I have run Prime95, MemTest, and FurMark all at once for about 3 hours no crash, no shutdown. I reinstalled it which fixed it for about 3 days. Just got done removing all unnecessary USB's and that seems to be working for some reason

glad to see you got it fixed, now you just need to figure out wich usb was the issue and why?

Seems like it doesn't matter what usb port it is, if I have more than 3 usb ports occupied my computer does the shutdown and restart. Not sure however, not able to replicate it on command still. Tried plugging a 4th usb in whilst playing the game and it didn't crash for the 10 minutes I had it plugged it, and it still only happens on PUBG. I'm fucking baffled.

EDIT : Computer still restarted regardless of the number of USB's, and their arrangement.

Running Unigine heaven 4.0, Prime95 FFT's, and cinebench OpenGL benchmark at once, ran that for little over an hour and nothing. everything is running fine.
