have you done or please do the following -turn settings to low -disable and startup options in the games properties on steam -check for driver updates -make sure your bios is up to date -run memtest -uninstall reinstall the game -reinstall windows( a refresh can be done if its windows 8 or 10) -begin swapping hard ware to test -disconnected extra hdd or ssd -swap gpu -swap psu
PS:I was only able to repeat my issue in one other game and it only happened after 4+ hours of play if its the same issue its going to be very hard to repeat the issue in another program I was unable to repeat it in stress test at all
Just reinstalled windows and it is still doing it. I believe it to be the GPU at this point.
UPDATE: My motherboard is acting funky now, cpu is set to 4.0 in the bios but windows is saying 3.5. My bios settings are saving but it is as if it is not applying them.
Had a similar issue years ago. My solution was to buy a power-strip with surge protection, and that fixed my issues. BUT it might just be that the power-strip I used before that was bad and that it had nothing to do with surge protection.
ill give it a try but I don't think that is the issue, i had already tried a diffrent outlet in the same room and a new psu, if it was the outlet dont you think it would trip the breaker?
Dirty electricity. put an active ups or something in between the pc or a filter between the ceiling fan and you're good to go.
Almost every device with a big engine or big transformers (washing machines, ceiling fans, mixers, micro waves, weatwhackers etc) can cause voltage and/or frequency fluctuations in you circuit and sensitive devices (like your pc) don't like that.
If it's a UPS that filters the line input it should prevent the issue in the future. (I say ups just because i don't know another device that does this) Perhaps borrow a ups from someone for a day or so.
They make power conditioners that are usually 1:1 transformers similar to a UPS but without the battery backup. In some of the nicer ones they will actually create their own sine wave from scratch. Those are much more expensive though. The cheaper ones can be hit or miss on whether they help or not. If you're getting crazy noise on the ground prong a transformer is not likely to help. Also if the voltage is a little on the low side or dips, a UPS is the go to solution.
Also when shopping for a UPS dont get fooled by the VA rating thinking its equivalent to watts. In a simple explanation VA is like a freshly poured beer. Theres a head on the beer that you dont drink and with the liquid, that makes up the sum of the total liquid poured. Watts represents the actual liquid that is consumable. Expect 60-80% efficiency from cheapo UPSs.
well PUBG is no longer causing my computer to restart, however now it is causing my system to hang, forcing me to hit my reset switch to get back into windows. What I did was go through device manager and disabled my audio drivers, all except for my headset.
I have this exact issue and almost identical specs. After exhausting everything I am 100% sure its the processor. The RAM is fine as Is the MOBO every now and then you can see the BSOD issue is Clock_Watchdog_Timeout which if the RAM is OK is nearly always the processor. Mine E is at stock with no OC and all high end parts. Every other component has been individually tested or replaced and it still happens s leaving only the Cpu. Interestingly this Cpu is an awful overclocker as well with anything above stock requiring voltage Increases. I have requested an RMA with Intel.
A quick fix for Pubg is the disable death cam and any recording as it relieves some processor but it will return
