I think it was last year, couldn’t get the program to work right with my Surface Pro 2 as the pen wasn’t working as a pressure-sensitive pen and functioned like a regular mouse.
I actually still have this problem, looking into a fix for it.

definitely come a long way since the calligra years.
Has better feature set than Manga Studio and Paint Tool SAI nowadays
Yeah, it’s kind of why I wanted to migrate from Manga Studio to Krita. Plus Krita is cross platform, Manga Studio is not as far as I am aware. But the pen isn’t working properly with Krita on my Surface Pro 2 so until then I am stuck with Manga Studio as my only program.
My younger sister is doing a whole lot better with Krita since pen pressure is working with her Wacom Intuos, she has a better computer (Her laptop has a GTX 950M, my tablet is Intel HD 4400) to run Krita on.
UPDATE: Okay, I got the pen to work on Krita properly on my Surface Pro now, and just like that I am already loving the program. Has more of a learning curve than Manga Studio, but seems to have more features as well.
For posterity; What did you do for a fix?
I downloaded and installed Wintab x64 v1.0.0.20
