idk about that, but if upgrading to an E5-2667v2 works as well as I want, it’ll get mounted a piece of plywood or steel plate or something. It’s sitting on a stack of Playboys at the moment, to get clearance for the fan I taped to the GPU.

The orange lights are trying to tell me no fans are plugged in.

Here’s my current gaming rig.

CPU: 5950x (with an EK waterblock).

GPUs: Asus 3090 Strix in an EK waterblock with active back plate plus a 3080Ti in water block. (Was doing some multi tasking that I could breakup the work on).

MOBO: MSI x570 Godlike (upgrading to a bits power MoMo block soon, chipset fan is dying and is annoying)

PSU: EVGA 1600w supernova T2

Case: Corsair 1000D super tower

Rads: 4x 480mm rads with push pull fans (28 fans in the case)

Storage: 4x 2TB NVMe SSDs and 2x 4TB sata SSDs.

Monitor: Samsung G8

That is the cultured builds I can appreciate in this thread.
Bravo!

Still the same stock-of-playboys test bench. tried upgrading cooling, didn’t go anywhere near as well as I hoped.
DVI adapter screws, nuts and stand offs came from my dead R9 390.

That hot spot temp… 105c.

That heatsink doesn’t look beefy enough, to wrangle that magma square
Perhaps get a hold of the Noctua C14s [*feed in the fan inside, should it stand too tall]

It’s also limited to 170 watts instead of 220 watts, because that’s the only vBIOS I’m aware of that isn’t obnoxious to deal with on this card.
I do want a C14 though.

It’s done. For now. Basically till I get bored in three months.
