Official Post your PC guts thread!

Yes. But there is not space for it. The mount is little to one side, its not centered, and this is the only way it didnt hit either graphics card, ceiling or back fan

…also, the way the holes are in my board, i cant turn it. You know amd support bracked is not a square, so the hole distance only work in one orientation. Sadly enough

I would love that. I cant seem to figure out how to limit a 5800x and the 5700x was sold out here, so just to be sure i have some fans. Also my power supply is now the most noisy part and would absolute love a fanless one of those

Understandable. I’m happy that either way it works for you.
What are the temps?

I finally tried pushing a bit with some long gaming sessions and video edit.

The max temp it reached is 84c but was constantly very very quiet. I know its close to the max 90c, but at this sound level - i am impressed.

But most of the time its like 50-60c and dead silent.

I switched the fans out and the psu, now using a be quiet 1000w psu and a be quiet 120mm fan drawing in air and a silverstone air penetrator 180mm fan blowing air out, thats why its either very quiet or dead silent

Fun fact, when i turn it on i literally dont know if its on, unless the rgb is on

That’s a great result, congratz!
Hope the system will serve you well

That’s great, damn!

That’s not even putting a dent into the reliability and longevity of the CPU. You’re also not pushing it all day every day like that so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Not sure if I should go for the blue or red color on the keyboard, and CPU cooler. My daughter has the same tower, but a lot more RGB

Yeah, the GPU is a bit long

Wish I could find a high res image, but this was my build back when I was young

1267351543135s

BFG GTX 260 (Non Core 216), E5400 overclocked to 4GHz, G.Skill DDR2 667Mhz (I think 4GB? Maybe 8GB), Corsair HX650, DFI Lanparty LT X38-T2R board, Antec 300 case with 2 x Blue LED 120mm fans in the front

Can’t quite remember the cooler, but it was a very popular one back then.

I think I had 2 x 500GB disks, can’t remember!

Anyone used to post on the Novatech, Aria or Scan UK forums? I used to post on there a ton but all the images are gone. One day I hope to find a big image dump or something and find my builds in there

I had a Corsair 700D at one point with a 360 rad watercooled 2500K @ 5Ghz and SLI GTX 460’s. My dumb young self didn’t save the images!

I was still shooting film into the 2000s unfortunately.
I have negative scans of pix from that period but no guts. Any images of my guts from before that are long gone and those are the ones Id be most interested to see/share now.

What kind of geeky nerdboy takes photos of his new PCB anyway?

is that just from your phone or is the rgb on the 3080ti really that bright?
i like :slightly_smiling_face:

I’d be kicking myself, for not keeping images, from my HAF932 build days [2011-01/2020]
Especially the openness that would become, from discarding multi-gpu in favour of single GPU

AMD Phenom II 1090T
Biostar 890FXE
6GB DDR3 → 16GBDDR3
(2) ATi 5850 → AMD HD7950 → AMD R9 Fury
(2) 74GB Velociraptor 10K → (2) 64GB SSD
(2) 160GB + 500GB HDDs
700W PSU + 650W GPU-PSU

A gut pile. A Radeon MI25 on an Intel s1600JP4 motherboard.
Only like $250 of investment there.
