I am surprised that no one commented here yet…

Is it actually true that the resetting a Vega GPUs works now? I rewatched the video to make sure, but I didn’t hear Wendel talk about it in the post-version of the video.

Yes, all good now. All GPUs and even other pcie devices

During the video you mention that there is perhaps a specific or unique thing with Fury-X that was circumventing some of the problems people were having with passthrough. I didn’t catch any details other than you mentioned it. What makes Fury-X different or better suited to passthrough? Is it related to a hardware feature, bios issues, or does Fury-X not suffer the issue of reboot like in Vega? Anyway the reason I ask is I have a couple of them to use for a setup like this but I have no NVidia cards for it. Can I pull this off with just 2 Fury-X cards or will it be an issue that they are the same model. I remember there was an issue at one point where lspci didn’t recognize the correct device all the time if they were identical cards. Thanks for any details you can supply.

Fury x was old enough to work well but new enough to perform decent. Makes a good host card. With the patch anything is fine tho

A good host card is still required if you want to capture via Xcomposite a Looking Glass window to pump it straight into OBS. No progress on if anyone has made that OBS plugin and likely we won’t hear anything on that until someone can dedicate their time to writing it.

This has me wanting to do this, got a bonus check coming, should be Setting this up in a month or so, now what to do with my X99 tho.
