Ehh I wouldn’t worry in a Tesla in the US either. 300 miles.. 50 miles max between stations even out west. Not worried lol

Speakimg of not worried. theres a diesel 2.1 L gle too

Heard it gets great fuel economy

Its also an A series

Always will be. It was designed as such. The veloster N is too

Both way better drives

But I’ve stopped carrying for hot hatches. Now I want elegance that meets power and merc is the most recognized name in the game..however Tesla is an option

My car has developed 3 new noises, i feel like my wallet is in danger…

Just put some electrical tape over the check engine light and turn your radio up a tad, I’m sure its fine.

Nearest charger is 3 hours from me for Tesla’s. Better hope you can get to and from on a single charge. When I was commuting it was near 100 miles a day. Presumably the slow home charging can charge it in a night. I really don’t like tesla’s with the price to build quality they do. Ofcourse their poor quality gets rehashed all the time. The new model seems to improve it a bit. Which is a very very good thing for the brand.
No doubt electric will take over. Once we get out of the E- phase of early electric cars, it’ll be very interesting to see what comes out of Honda and Toyo. Yamaha has some good stuff as well, though I don’t know if it’ll find it’s way into cars OE. Probably in some partnership it will.

tbh I wouldnt even touch the supercharger if I had a tesla… id just top off every night to 85% of maximum.

I know the newer chargers can select the charge rate which is cool but I would not supercharge a lot. I mean realistically speaking you won’t really hurt the battery if you charge to 83 ish percent since in reality batteries just need to be guarded against heat. That is there downfall

Ideally the best charging mechanism is a nema 15-50 plug with an equalize charge at 83 percent. Keeping it between 28 and 83 percent is a good idea. It will generally extend the life but as lithium chemistry changes so do these numbers. I know musk is trying to get his batteries to be far more deep cyclable… Aka 100 to 0 and back to 100 which is good. That should be your primary engineering goal

Build quality issues are to expected. Gotta improve the process some how. God I really should just go get the 6 Sig certs

Hopefully we will see a lot of their kinks figured out. Some of their paint issues literally had to do with a time Delta difference in during of under 30 seconds. Pretty ridiculous lol

I highly doubt itll get to 0-100%, 1%-99% is a bit more feasible, but I won’t get into that here. Heat is certainly a problem as is the cold. Teslas hate being driven hard, no doubt. The track day electrics I’ve seen tend to be LN2 cooled with pit replenish ever couple laps for both the motors and then the batteries. iir it’s motor first, then loops to the batteries and back. But the build quality i’m talking more with the nature of things like the interior and how poorly put together that is. The drivetrain is fine aside from the growing pains of new tech.

Stop spending money dumby

My truck sounds so much better with straight pipe exhaust.

Fucking VA won’t let me do that though. Bastards.

Performance wise, yeah.

But my point is that they completely lack all of the sensation that you get from having a gas engine. The exhaust sound, and the vibrations from the engine, etc.

Bought myself a super lightweight mid-engine rearwheel-drive 3cylinder kei car

God dammit there’s like 6 rx7’s in my area and it’s giving me the itch.

Nothing wrong with promoting another thread.
With all the respect, is it maybe not better to leave the posts on the thread itself?
If people find it interesting i-am sure they have subscribed by now.
It’s getting a little spammy imho

oh yeah, I recognize the spam potential. The way how I see it, I would have posted the same video here as well. Posting the other thread’s link has a dual purpose, first allowing for people who want to watch car stuff, but don’t want to sub to the more general thread that includes other topics. The second purpose is to make it easier for me to track interesting videos I find, having it all in one place rather than needing to make a global search for past stuff I found interesting.

I still post stuff memes and other stuff that wouldn’t fit the other thread in the respective threads

You can create youtube playlists for that.
I can’t and won’t forbid anything.
Just letting you know that it seems a bit much with not a lot of engagement.
