I am trying to be more open minded about metal, what are some good metal bands for me based off the other stuff I posted?
In the olden days, pretty much everyone here (myself included) were (and most still are) total metalheads. I'll listen to and probably love any kind of metal out there besides metalcore/deathcore. (Though I will not necessarily shy away from other forms of music because I was raised on classic rock.)

Recently I've been listening to more techno, electronica and trance type music, though i like all kinds of music really, including metal.
I really like bands that mix and experiment with all different genres though i know few bands that do this.

I listen to mainly metal, but i listen to some indie rock, electropop stuff, like Two Door Cinema Club. Sadly, I fell into the abyss genre of dubstep, but I had always been into electrohouse and the like. Beastie Boys also tickles my fancy.
