I think my pc died HELP-!

There are only 4 loop connect points near the mobo
2x cpu 2x gpu
And the gpu connection is vertical so itd just drip into my psu

But worth a look

No visible drips..

Seeing as there is no change in CPU temp, it’s fair to assume that the MoBo doesn’t see the CPU. That’s either because the MoBo is dead, the CPU is dead … or the CPU simply doesn’t get any power.

The MoBo is a possibility, the CPU less so. The PSU would be the most likely culprit tho. If the rail that feeds the CPU is a bit wonky, it may not be able to provide the power that the CPU needs.
Check the 8-pin cable that feeds the CPU. If that’s connected properly, try booting the system with a different PSU. If it still doesn’t boot at that point, it’ll be the MoBo or the CPU indeed.

Only way from here may be to swap parts to another system or try another PSU but that’s easy to say as I have other parts!

My first two Gigabyte X99 gigabyte boards simply died after a random amount of normal usage. No lights or activity of any kind and no diags LED either to give indication. Swapped in another PSU to show OCUK (etailer) I had at least tried some diags but they swapped them under RMA.

New psu, same issues
Gotta be the mobo

as expected,
Newegg said sorry b**** you’re past 30 days after purchase go fuckyourself go call the manufacturer
Almost $400 mobo…
Can’t live longer than 90 days…

I had the same exact issue on my Maximus VII Hero but it wasn’t consistant but happened from time to time when I tried to boot with XMP on with Corsair LPX RAM. Try to back off the XMP profile and see what happens. I think is a common issue for Asus boards (the 00 code and nothing happening). Also said code is not listed if I recall correctly in any Asus manual or if it is there’s no detail on what can cause it. I think you should just return the board as I did and get a new one. But when you get the new one keep your eyes opened because my replacement had a SATA bank of two ports soldered higher than the others and melted plastic near it, so replacements boards might be not that good.

I can’t
there is no post

Reset the BIOS with the CMOS clear button if you didn’t do that yet.

Yeah I have heard of issues in the past just grabbing a random already used item off of a shelf and sending it as a replacement

Dude have you even bother to read the rest of the thread?
I’ve already tried that

I didn’t bother to send it back since the board is working fine but near the end of the warranty I might do that.

Sorry about that, I scrolled too fast to the end. Just send that board back.

Hope not,
It’s funny my other Asus motherboards have lasted like 15 years literally until the CPU could not be upgraded anymore
to even play video games
that’s when I upgraded to my I5 2500 k

Yeah like I mentioned
I am literally on the phone with a asus
and the guy is writing up the RMA forums right now

Since I sent my old computer to my brother in Florida this was my only operational system and since I cannot go to my email and reply to the RMA forum on my cell phone because it can’t interact with their website or Flash or something

this Asus tech was kind enough to fill out the form for me by asking me my information

I contacted via email the RMA guys too at Asus. They were really helpful and tried their best but in the end we did everything but the board didn’t want to post correctly with those Corsair LPX at 1600MHz. So after swapping out the RAM for some that were on the QLV I returned the board.

How long did the process take you?

I’m in Europe and I had to send the board through my online seller since the board was in the 30 days policy return. Took two months to get a new one but did a longer trip than your will do.

Ouch..

Was a real pain the butt, I know. Fortunately I have a decent noebook to do things on. But I still think is crazy that I had to wait two months to get a new board (not even a perfect one) that costed me round 180€.

If it takes that long I am I literally just go buy a whole new motherboard and then attempt to return it after 30 days while waiting for the RMA…
