Yeah I got it. Just took me a minute. Any other suggestions that would lose me a little less capacity? It just burns a bit knowing that I'm losing half the theoretical capacity of the array.
This is the problem with high capacity drives.
The the time it takes to rebuild the array you more likely to have another drive fail taking out all the data.

Yeah, best thing in case of a drive failure is to copy all the data to a different array first.
No, RAID 6 works with 3 drives
They had four units left I asked the inventory person at the warehouse to see if they could track down when they received that particular shipment but I got nowhere

I grabbed the unit with the most jacked up looking box on the idea that people probably would never touch that one willingly

HD Tune is good. There is a trial of it and it's a lot more in depth than crystal disk mark.
