Update:

After almost a year of running cameras I am now switching to the Hikvision iVMS 4200 software.
I have used Zoneminder and Trendnet software, but the Hikvision seems the most feature rich and is easy to use.

My dome cameras are glaring up at night probably due to IR reflection, will have to maybe readjust the actually camera and adjust the plastic dome cover between camera and dome cover.

I would suggest getting bullet cameras because of its ease when adjusting camera angles and lot less glare at night.

I spent around $750 USD.
4 cameras, PoE switch, spool of ethernet, used PC

2 dome cameras

2 bullet

If I were to build this setup again, I would definitely use bullet cameras.
