HELP NEEDED - Building a PC

Hello everybody, I need help deciding which parts I should put in my PC. This is my first build and I have no prior experience building computers. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

  1. My budget is around 1,350

  2. I don't have a mouse, monitor or keyboard and i don't want my peripherals bottle necking my PC.

  3. I want my color scheme to be blue

  4. I don't really plan to overclock

  5. Please link your build in the comment below

  6. Thank you for taking time to help an uninformed idiot like me :)

so does this budget include peripherals then?

What are you using your PC for? Just gaming?

Yes, I don't intend to do any video editing on it.

Then i5 with a 390 and 144hz 1080p Free-sync display for gaming, would be TN though, but as far as gaming goes, can't do much better

You could use the rest on a 240gb SSD like the Mushkin ECO3 at $65 or spend that money on a 6600K with a Z170 board for better minimum frame rates and less of a CPU bottleneck in the future, but overall it's maybe only going to give you 15% more CPU performance at best

Thank you so much man!

no prob, welcome to Tek Syndicate

i actually have a headset is there any place that money can go to improve the build?

I would not go with a 970. The 390 is just the stronger card.

indeed, will change

new list with 390

bigger SSD and more expensive case if that one does not tickle your fancy

Why not a Xeon? If they don't plan on overclocking
Example http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rtcNkL

my build is not the final word lol, he is free to do whatever he wants

xeons are great to

Just my two cents
In my opinion everything about that build is solid, but I feel they could get a little extra out of a Xeon and maybe a slightly better Motherboard
