Help me choose a Trackball Mouse!

odd button placement that you don’t like, or otherwise can’t reach

dont need to turn it off’… just dont use it…and dont program it, it just goes click… Turning it off, looses Many other options…

Yes and then you accidentally hit it, some random function happens, and you have no idea why

considering your comment?? if a button isnt programmed to do anything, it Wont do anything…esp if its Required to be setup by a 3rd party program.
This thing has 8 button control…and part of its problem with MS not programming more then 5… and would be solved by either of the options Iv posted.

Not always. Per mouse limit in windows might be 5, but I’ve had multiple mice in the past that exceeded the limit and the buttons still did random shit.

Also, if you’re using it in a specific environment, say science lab, you don’t want accidents.

And by going past MS 5…you are required to use a 3rd party program to Program it, and if you didnt setup the button to DO nothing but go Click… yep it can do strange things…MS has lots of Short-cuts… and sending the Code that happens to do 1…What would you expect…?

To have the option is better than to not. Features where they fit are features that are appreciated.

See, MS standard KB, has 255 combinations, but not all are programmed to be Keystrokes, or have a representation of them being used… the CTRL (keypad 5) is an unk key, unknown… which you can Use for anything…
Its the same with your Trackball and mice…but the above program cant Program that key, as it is a Touch, not HOLD selection. press CTRL(release) then Keypad 5 (release) which is also stupid
And Xmouse has said they wont go past MS 5 programming.
