Matsao's?
Yup
Their ginger beer is awesome too.
The point of guinness 'draft' in cans is thay have a 'widget' in them to simulate geting a beer from the tap that only works when you pour it out in to a glass.
Its been a long time since i had a 'good' pint of guinness since thay started pasteurising the beer, it just dosent taste the same anymore.
If you are likeing that pint try a dragon stout in the bottle but generaly i make my own beer now as its just to expensive to go out to a good pub where thay dont serve tasteles alcoholic colored water on tap lol.
If you whant a real tasty guinness put a single shot of Tia Maria in a pint glass then pour the guinness on to it tastes like a sweet milk chocolate coffee (just dont drink to meny of them) :P
There is half my daily salary gone....
For anyone in Aus as well I highly recommend Two Birds summer ale. Super smooth and as the name suggests, perfect for hot summer days!
Sleeping Giant IPA is also a good beer :)
And that is why i make my own beer lol.
Drinking my red ipa cost me about 40p a pint to make (its not a stout) a little chill haze to it because is been in the fridge for 2 days but that dosent matter to me :) 6.7%
Nice!!!
I just bottled my own Red IPA a few days ago. Now need to wait 4 weeks before drinking it.
Check out Garage Project Chocolate Salty Balls. Really nice Chocolate Stout.
have you had vale ale/knappstein? or even mountain goat - all their limited edition stuff (and their regular - not the biggext fan of their hightail ale, but there steam ale is the bomb too) that they release throughout the year are awesome if you can get them.... Brewery is down in Melbourne.... got a clear hops filter in the bar (or at least had), so you see it filter down through all the hops while getting ur drank on.
knappstein is really good too, big hoppy and fruit drive, chunky beer that you can keep drinking, made by a winery, they use shiraz leaves in the process gives it the awesome texture and depth :D
Grew up in the industry and ran wine/alcohol tastings professionally, so have tried a loooooot now.... I used to get people bringing me stuff from all over aus to try as where i worked/who i worked for had very good exposure :P until i finish my studies im too poor to afford my tastes :(
I haven't tried them but I will keep an eye out.
worth it. I'm fairly sure dans/vintage cellars/maybe LL carry them
Yeah I think I've seen them at the nearby Dans, next time I'm there I'll check them out.
This is a mandatory skill if you wanna work in a bar in Ireland
If I remember my regional rivalrys correctly, Bemish is brewed in Cork, and is therefore better then Guinness by default according to anyone living in Cork.
How do you think an Eastern European knows about this sacred process, that seems to be very important for the taste? And for God's sake, don't overflow the foam.
Yeah, basically. Munster in generally is more sympathetic to it's underdog status haha.
A lot of guys just like it better anyway. Though some just like it as variety is spice and the spice must flow.
Oh, and some say it comes out of the can better than Guinness but I don't see why it would. Maybe if they use a different mixture of inert gas it would make difference enough but hard to say outside of anecdote.
I love guinness, but then I just about like any beer, some are nicer than others but I've never found one thats undrinkable.
One customer that I did some work for brought us into his house for a session after we had finished the job. He had a crate of about 20 weird and wonderful beers. We tried a bit of each, I never knew there was so much variety and so many different tastes. I can't remember any of them now, let alone how I made it home, but it was a good night, haha.
My current favorite beer is Doombar. Not ambitious yes I know, but its constantly on promotion here, which is perk nr 1 and a decent ale which is perk nr 2. Money to taste to millimeter ratio, it is really one of the best.
You don't like that taste???? Aw man, its the good stuff!!! :O) Ice cold on tap!!!! Its the best!!! I feel thirsty now!!! :oP
That's the thing... When i tasted it for the forst time it was properly pored ice cold from a tap... And i didn't liked it. And people keep telling me that is when the taste is the best...
I guess is just my peasant taste. I also don't like Glenfidich, although it's really high quality whiskey...
