GTA 5 Impressions, Should I wait for the summer sale?

I will soon have spare game money and am having trouble deciding if I should wait for the summer sale to load up on misc games and maybe, hopefully, get GTA on sale. Or should I just get GTA now.

Is the game worth $60?

no, its not. Its just like any other gta.

Its not like every other GTA. In my eyes its miles better than GTA IV, I dont have a lot of experience with previous version as I was young when I -played it and my parents at the time took it off me when they saw me running over prostitutes.

Anyway I wouldnt consider any game to be worth $60 but it is one of the better games of the past few years. Really depends on if you have anyone to play with and if you have friends also buying the game, It might be worth just to play online with them. Otherwise playing later will be a bit lonely.

Also there are sales around the place. I have seen it as low as $43. I bought mine for $50 through my gamefanshop

gta 5 looks almost as good as modded gta 4. Thats my statement.

Then it also depends if he cares about story or just want to run around. For me in Skyrim after I put on mods and made different character build, I never finished the main campaign again. So story would be different and what you do in between missions slightly different.

No Grand Theft Auto is worth $60 dollars. I personally follow the philosophy that NO ONE should purchase ANY game for $60. there is only one exception to this rule.

  • If it's an RPG (Games like the Witcher, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Deus Ex, & Dark Souls) THOSE are worth $60 dollars. cause you get HOURS of content much more than any other game in other genres.

Other than that, Nope. don't buy it. wait till it drops to at MOST $40 bucks. The games aren't that bad. they are fairly long and the gameplay is really good, especially now with the first person mode. but to pay $60 psssh... fart on it. Myself personally i'd wait a bit. give it a few weeks or about a month or so we'll see it for a reasonable price.

No because the game has been out for a long time and they still changed full price for the PC version.

Just rpg's geez I have way more hours in csgo and tf2 and they are $15 and free.

You saying that proves my point. CS:GO is $15 bucks. there is barely any content. you playing mutliplayer on the same maps for hours is much different that playing a game and exploring worlds / cities for 50 to 100 hours. RPG's usually take years to develop. well the good ones do anyways. CS:GO is just your regular PC shooter.

For me if I can get an hour of enjoyment for each dollar I spend on a game then it meets my minimum for being worth it.

I finished Deus Ex in about 6 hours.....

Which one? Invisible War?

Human Revolution and the first one do NOT take 6 hours to beat.

HR. I did all the story side things though...

I find that hard to believe. unless you cheated your ass off with the "Debug Menu" Mod..

And with mods its going to be absolutely gorgeous

I honestly want to pick it up as soon as possible. Watching all the gameplay on the PS3, 360, PS4, and Xbox One, I've been really excited for it to come to PC (especially with the new 1st person mode). Too bad I don't have the $ to pick it up at full price ;(. If you think you will play it a lot, and really enjoy it, then go ahead and pick it up at full price. I'm sure you won't regret it.

It's so much better than any other GTA I've ever played than I can't really measure it. I'm running it on three 1080p monitors in triple monitor surround and its amazing. Some of the gun fights I've had in missions are just downright intense. Not to mention the sheer ridiculousness of the story etc.

As for whether or not it's worth the $60.... Hard to say, I paid it. Do not regret that decision. But I hadn't played it on console because I don't own a peasant box.

Nope. Easy mode though. (menu not mod)

GTA V is an awesome game but im not gonna pay full price for it when its a couple of years old already. i wish there was a key inside the case so you could get it on any platform because ive already owned it on 360 and ps4 and im not gonna pay for it a third time haha

I think I could get at least 300 hours out of GTA V and I would class it as an RPG.
