Great Sci-Fi/ Tech Movies

Can you actually tell me what it is that you really like about the movie because I want to know. I feel like I am missing something (besides not watching the Final Cut).

Also, I forgot the movie is based on a book. I might want to try that.

This isn't sci-fi or a movie but mr. Robot is my all time favorite tv show I watched the trailer and was hooked.

I love the Matrix. My only issue with it is, there aren't enough movies like it. Really sucks that 2 and 3 were not as good as the first.

note the last row of panels..

Sure have. I really like those 70s Sci Fi movies, like Logan's run and soylent green.

Primer is really good, such a mind boggler haha

Surprised no one has mentioned Europa Report.
Equilibrium.
And if you disregard the games, the first Resident Evil was actually good.
Donnie Darko and Southland Tales
Aliens (because we can't get away from you, b****)
Judge Dredd (reboot, can't get enough of Urban's Dredd)

And since DOOM is a thing once again, DOOM (2005) lol.

Brazil might also be worth mentioning since it doesn't seem to have been mentioned so far.

Walter Koenig did this rather unknown movie called Moontrap.
Considering it is VERY low budget it was outstanding.

I am not sure what qualifies as sci-fi/tech and I think some that people have shared don't qualify but I will try to list some. Here are is my 8 out of 10 or higher list from IMDB:

  1. War of the Worlds (new one with Tom Cruise)
  2. Cloverfield
  3. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
  4. Gravity

Some that I did not rate 8 out of 10 on IMDB or gave no rating to at all just because I struggled to rate them are:

  1. Edge of Tomorrow
  2. Battle Los Angeles (Fun movie that got too much hate I think.)
