The title says it. I'm looking for a backpack that is very durable. I have considered to buy the Chrome Citadel off from Tek Syndicate store but the shipping to Singapore has blown my budget too much. And for some reason, Amazon does not ship it to Singapore.
My requirements is that the bag must be big enough to hold a 17 inch laptop + a massive power brick along with books, power bank, a tall 750ml water bottle and a mouse.
My daily load is about 8-10kg, my current and previous backpack are freebies from laptop purchases and they keep suffering the same fate of broken strap probably due to weight. I also prefer to have a chest strap if possible. Thanks in advance.
Someone recommended Timbuk2 in LTT site along with this, I happen to know a guy that is connected to Timbuk2, but I'm not familiar with their products, are they known for their quality? Looking at the designs of the bag while the compartments match my requirements, the strap design is kinda worrying, I'm afraid it'll start breaking in less than 6 months like my current one.
EDIT: WHY CAN'T BAG DESIGNERS TAKE WATER BOTTLES INTO DESIGN??
How much over budget would it be after all is said and done? Maybe saving up a little would be worth it. Personally, I've gone through enough backpacks that I would consider getting an expensive one at this point if I weren't so close to being done with school.
EDIT: You said USD, not Singapore. $58 over budget is one thing. 158 over is another.
I would at least consider saving up for it if it meets all of your requirements, otherwise, probably not. I had good experience with Ful so far. It has been the best backpack that I've used. Not sure if you can get it for a decent price there though.
I beg to differ, the one I have still is in tact. Been using a lot to travel with, though the straps are finally showing wear and tear after the 5 years of hell I put it through. Works well for grocery shopping and hauling kitty litter
