Buy industrial grade versions of everything and you will never go back. Industrial items in non industrial use cases never break.
Perfectly honest, I have a series of collected bags. No specific daily driver. The Chrome bags are my next, and hopefully last purchase. The one Logan uses has been with us on all our travels, and it still appears almost new. Compared to his other duffel bag which fell apart on our last trip.
If you don't snag up the TS Chrome bag, I would suggest looking at Chrome's other bags, as they are expensive, but I've only heard people complain about the price.
Me being one of the guys who complained about price.
Alright I will, I will definitely buy the TS bag if possible. One question though, how does the lifetime warranty work? I ship it back to Chrome?
It's a Chrome bag, so yes, the lifetime warranty you have to deal with Chrome, they have paperwork in the package when you get it.
OK, thanks!
Well, if you can get one at a discount, the Razer Tactical bag is not actually all that bad, it's basically just a military style back pack with some extra pockets I think.
But then you have to walk around with a Razer logo on your back. No thanks.
I think the logos velcro on and off
I just got an amazon basic bag for 30$. It is great to me, it can fit my 15(ish) inch laptop with little trouble. It is comfortable, can fit a lot of stuff and is very organized. I highly recommend. It is not what you would expect from a 30$ back pack, it is what you'd expect from a 70-100$ backpack.
Sadly I can't get any discount on that, and there is no preview model in any shops I know of.
It is a norm in my country for gamers to own and carry a Razer or ROG backpack. And to be fair Razer Tactical is a pretty good backpack according to reviews.
I think their CEO is from Singapore no?
Really it's not that bad, but at the base it's a bit pricey, over here I can get it for 100 bucks at walmart rather than $160
But otherwise, I'd suggest you just go to a store, and like, pick out something, kinda hard to figure out what bag you like from just the internet.
Yup, he is born in Singapore and his family members are still in Singapore I think. I did watched the review by Linus, but I want something that can take a lot of punishment long term.
EDIT:
I just noticed my classmate actually own the Citadel bag! Will be asking him about it to finalize my decision.
Hey Qain, sorry for necro-ing this topic but I just want to check if the supply for Citadel backpack is running low for Tek Syndicate? I have attempted to do research on the backpack and it is no longer listed in Chrome's site for some reason. I did sent an email to check what is going on and got no reply at the moment.
It looks like that model has been discontinued by Chrome.
I believe we have a few in stock. I believe we didn't order a lot. (maybe 50 in total)
There should be many left to order.
I'll be buying it soon. With that said have you guys considered which bag to replace the Citadel in the store if it runs out?
Not sure. I'll discuss with Logan in due time.
We use that bag for everything, it's traveled all over the world with us.
I know I'm late to this thread, but you should consider Osprey packs. They primarily make stuff for outdoors, but they make everyday bags too. Not many will hold a 17" laptop though, but I think there are a few. Plus, since they know outdoor gear, you can be assured it'll be able to take a beating. I've had one for like a decade now. and it's still going strong. I think I paid 80 USD. (It was discounted, but I think it normally went for 100-120 USD).
Your best options for large laptops will of course be messenger bags. Messenger bags also double in the advantage of being able to carry them when dressed more formally. Backpacks look stupid in anything more than business casual. Messengers don't have the support backpacks have, though. And there's no shortage of messengers or backpacks. If you're still open to more options, there's a page that links a bunch of messenger bag manufacturers. Most of them specialize in making bags for couriers, so they'll be tough. Chrome is one of the ones listed. I'm sure you can find a list of backpack manufacturers too, if you search.
