Foobar Skins Plugins etc

I need all of the legit plugins and skins and whatever else to make foobar200 really good the only thing i use itunes for is organizing music and my iphone but the biggest announce is that foobar doesn't integrate the folder i want all of my music on so i have to add all of the music again and it gets annoying so what do i need to make foobar the BEST?

i don't exactly understand what your annoyance is... give me a little more info..

I used itunes for a while to organize... then I found foobar... All you have to do is put all your music in one folder and organize it a bit. Foobar will monitor the directory for any changes and it is 1000x faster than itunes always. It will be better for the future if you keep it all organized this way.

main folder/artist/cd title/

For the best experience I usually put the cover of the CD into the folder... title it cover.jpg

You can mess around with skins if you want... there are some cool ones. I am sticking to the standard skin now... here is what I am using... first, download facets:

http://foobar2000.audiohq.de/foo_facets/

This is the best way to organize your music... now, if you want to see how I organize my foobar check out my theme file:

I messed around with a ton of skins but i found none of them as easy to use as the default... they are prettier though...

let me know if this gets you started... also, if you listen to metal a lot, here is an eq I put together:

i was talking that foobar does update the songs in my itunes folder because i just have it use the "itunesmusic" folder but when i put new music in there it doesnt update

oh right..

well you keep using itunes to update your devices and organize your music... just close it after you import new music... the new stuff will show up and be organized in foobar...

other than that you will have to manually organize this time.

mk sweet! got it logan thanks

it's the only reason I still have itunes still on my PC... and I complain every time I open the program... it takes 45 minutes to do anything.

itunes actually works good on my computer.. lol i think that your computer doesnt work so well with quicktime and itunes lol i mean you couldnt play the HD videos and itunes takes forever for all of your stuff lol.. :P

testing bump...

Hey Logan,

I'm a bit confused on how to use Foobar. I organized all my music into Artist folders. I then imported the entire folder into foobar. Now its all listed there. I'm not sure how to set it up with facets though, like you were suggesting.

well put foo_facets.dll into your foobar2000\components directory... then you can try my foobar theme if you like...

http://razetheworld.gameriot.com/downloads/view/Logans-Foobar-Theme

download that to your desktop or something... then go into foobar and do this:

click file/ preferences then click display and then "default user interface"

here you will see an option to "import theme"... click that and navigate to the theme you just downloaded... active that and everything should look pretty good.

let me know if this helps... also, remember to mess with your EQ!

I'm not to sure how set up my EQ. Care to explain?

well... you will see the eq when you install that theme...

you basically slide the levels around until it sounds really good...

if you listen to metal you can try starting with my EQ... here it is... just install it:

then you can separate metal into different genres which all sound different

personally i keep the EQ at default (all 0 boost), because for me there is more music than metal and i can't be bothered to adjust my EQ every single time i listen to another band/artist/dj/group. (playlist of 20k tracks is on shuffle, so that's allot :P)

Am I the only one here that uses Winamp?

you must not have tried foobar....

im using winamp myself too, it just works "easier".

winamp is a mess if you have a ton of music.... plus, foobar sounds about 4-5x better. it sounds about 10x better than iTunes... am I gonna have to make some foobar tutorial videos?

my version is extremely easy to use.. way easier than iTunes.

sure, post it :)

and please links to all scripts and plugins needed to use yours :)

This will probably make a lot of people mad by bumping an old thread.. but does anyone know where to still get his foobar theme?
