Fallout 4 Hardware posting thread

Still hoping someone has an 860K or an APU build :P

An FX even.

- intel 330 SSD
- acer xr341ck 34inch 3440x1440

Unlocked framerate and forced max framerate to 74fps with drivers, freesync works well with the game and removes a lot of stutter stuff related with drivers and vsync.
Also forced max tessellation to x16.

Seeing major framedrops some outdoor areas and especially in some city areas, as low as 10-20fps at worst when looking in some directions.

Overall the performance is what I'd expect from a new bethesda game without having a optimized driver, oddly enough Fiji seems to be the AMD part that is the least affected by the crap drivers.

On my 1080 60hz tv, Ultra except tessellation reduced to 32x in CCC, I'm Getting 60-40 Fps.
My overall experience has been great and the frame rate drops don't break the fun unlike games that use physX.

I finally played it on my main rig for a little bit (FX-8320, OC to 4.0ghz).

I did not notice a huge difference, but, then again, I did not do an indepth study.

My significant other is the one who is playing it most. However! I will say this, she noticed a memory leak issue. I messed around with some of the graphical settings, and, long story short, disabling godrays seemed to have fixed this issue. (Thus far, it may have just slowed down the leak.) Also, the frame rate is closer to the 50-60 range.

I have a 750k build man, I posted on here. It runs pretty well with what I have, and I would only expect an 860k, or like an FX part to do even better, actually much better than that. You can get away with having not ridiculously expensive stuff and it runs pretty well, just get some weird spots of performance in-game, but that will be fixed when and if bethesda decides to get that all sorted.

Never drops below 45 FPS unless the loading screen freezes. I don't understand the panic caused by the recommended specs now, a CPU from 2008 has no issues handling this.

Dude! It's. . . Beautiful

You should be able to max it out with just one

I just max it with a single 7950 only godrays are at medium... couse fuck it.. I like gloominess.

Holy shit, it runs on a Phenom 2? Now I'm excited. I have a 955 BE

Phenom II running fallout 4.
You da real MVP.

Now I'm keen about testing it with my old 790i set up and a 580 or two.

playing at 4k with no motion blur, SSAO high, shadows + godrays on med, shadow distance on med - everything else on ultra/max

averages 70fps - can dip to 50 for a sec or two in specific areas of dense cities (eg. Diamond City)
