On the plus side, the emac being up in the air lets it cool enough so the display stays at 140-190hz. I gotta fuck with that some more.

I’ve been able to boot my solaris disk just fine, the drive works. Just something is up?

is it an oem drive?
i.e. cant read a cd-r/w in a cd-r, that its not dvd into a cd-rw etc
otherwise bad magic number usually means not pointing to correct device/device not found, which would mean try probescsi/probeide w.e. and try the other full path/id, but if it boots the solaris disc from the cdrom name or whatever then it should be mapped correctly
