hey as the title suggests do you guys know of any good free to play first person shooters i do have bf4 but i just want a game to quickly jump into to enjoy a quick match ive tried tom Clancy ghost recon and i didnt like the movement system and the fact that you went in and out of first person mode and third person if you guys know of any good ftp games could you recommend them cheers
I hear very good things about Dirty Bomb. There is also Team Fortress 2.
Most of the others suffer from Pay2Win to varying degrees.

There is also Blacklight Retribution. In a form its pay to win but that is if you want all the weapons in the game starting out. You can grind your way towards all the weapons. It's really up to you though. I have not played it myself personally though. Just check out some game play videos and analyze other people opinion on the game and decide for your self if you want to play it as well.

There's quake live, it doesn't feel like a team game tho, it's fun if you just want to play a few quick games

I've heard that hero's and generals is pretty good. Haven't played it myself tho
Dirty Bomb is good, but the skill level is really high, and with no matchmaking, you can either get matched with really good players or really bad players and just have a game drag on. It's also saturated with hackers/cheaters...
Planetside 2 is pretty good but be prepared for stuttering and general framerate drops. It's a tough game to run, old and not optimized as well as it should be.
Hero's and Generals is really good, not exactly my type of game, but people enjoy it.

I cosign heavy on Blacklight Retribution especially because the customization is very detailed and in depth. Not only do you pick loads of different types of weapons and attachments, but you also have the ability to create your own weapon by each component (for example I've been using a bolt action sniper rifle with assault rifle equipment for a long time).
Also cosign Planetside 2 although not much customization there, it makes up for that by providing you an enourmous game world and brilliant real time irl-war-like gameplay; There are no loading screens, only action.
Unreal Tournament 4 when its fully released for sure! (1-2 years)
I'd still recommend it because its loads of fun in its current alpha state.

One of my most favorit shooters, its a BF2 mod that has a lot of players still despite being 10 years old. The mod is still being updated too. Most recent update made it standalone so you dont need BF2 or a key to install it and play. The game is hevely dependent on squad play and teamwork over ingame Mics. So join a squad and let the squad leader know your new so they can let you know how things work.

Team Fortress 2, Mechwarrior Online, and Planet Side 2 are all titles that have been around a long time with a lasting player base going back generations. Matches in those games can typically last anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour if you watch some of the videos on youtube. Planet Side 2 does cost money though, but I have heard you can play for free, I am just not certain how.
Dirty bomb has been a ton of fun so far.

Planet side 2 has been optimized a lot latley used to get around 20fps on my budget rig but now get 60fps with drops to a min of 30fps in large battles.
