That’s so cool man. I look forward to seeing the 2.0.

Wtf, this season has some of the worst shows I’ve seen in a while. Usually a slow just isn’t too my looking but there is some serious trash like Lord of Vermillion

Yeah its a ton of garbage. Just overlord s3 and the continuation of boku no hero academia.

The rest is sweet garbage which is also fine with me lmfao

This was pretty enjoyable even though it’s not winning any awards 7/10. Got my 90’s fix in for the week.

This is pretty trippy but worth a watch.

You see my long ass rant on that shit?

I certainly hope it gets better, but I mean it is 12 episodes long and they just threw one episode down the drain, you saw last season with how they tried to fit too much shit into one season of 13 episodes, that didn’t go too well but at least they managed.

Best prison sentence

I’m including season 2 in that statement

Yes, and I’m saying season 3 is just more par for the course coming off season 3.

naruto be the favorite

I’m running low on content, so I’m starting to look towards anime for something to add. I haven’t really watched anime since college (long, long ago…), but I used to be a fan.

I like the shōjo style in terms of visuals and storytelling, and I tend not to relate to the shōnen very much, but NG:E was mind-bending enough to keep me interested. Gundam, on the other hand, pissed me off by being so cliche and droll.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Sword Oratoria” popped up on my radar recently, and I want to try it out, but I have no idea where to start.

1.) Where do I start? I know the series is a spin-off. Do I need to see the whole thing to follow it?

2.) Does it have a decent dub? I’m looking for something I can put on in the background and rewind if I miss something. Anime is better with subtitles, for sure, but I can’t “lean back” on subtitles.

No, there is very little substance to that series

Maybe passable, havent looked into it but it seems the side story hasn’t gotten a dub yet.

Must have been Gundam Seed

A series I really like that has a fantastic dub is ToraDora!

Sword Oratoria

Seems to be its own story, I have not seen it

As for Danmachi this is the original series, but reading from the comments you do not need to watch if you are not interested.

I was quite hesitant at first to watch it since somewhere along the line I saw it as trash, but it wasn’t. It was fairly interesting for a shounen series.

From what I can tell both series are only in Japanese dub.

As for Shoujou/Jousei series, I have seen very few but I will attempt to throw some recommendations.

English dub available on Funimation and VRV

https://myanimelist.net/anime/122/Full_Moon_wo_Sagashite
A little older so no dub from what I recall, most likely have to set sails for this one.

https://myanimelist.net/anime/32729/Orange
A bit more drama in this one English available on Funimation or VRV

https://myanimelist.net/anime/28297/Ore_Monogatari
Absolutely recommend, the story is too good to pass up and there is so many great moments.
English sub as far as I can tell.

This is an older series as well, set sails for this one.
I do recall there being a 4Kids dub but that deviates very much from the original.

Darn the embeds go away in details

My favorite shoujo series is Maria-sama ga Miteru (also just one of my favorites in general).

What anime is that?

There is not one new show that interest me this season. Luckily I can use the time to catch up on my backlog.

Welcome! If you find yourself really getting back into anime I’d recommended starting a MyAnimeList (MAL) account to help you keep track of all the anime you want to watch/have watched. Also there are some great sites to help you find/watch anime in the OP.

I really wish I’ve seen more shojo.

I highly recommend this one as far as shojo goes, but don’t watch past episode 18. 18 is a very good ending, unfortunately it turns into a disaster after that.

This one’s really good too. Bit of a wacky rom-com. Very fun to watch.

These don’t have the shojo tag but they might be right up your alley.

One of my all-time favorite anime (top 3 easy). Great character development, with a healthy mix of comedy & feels.

Mellow and beautiful looking adventure anime, with nice amount of comedy, romance, and some feels. Great one to kick back and relax to.

This one is a fun rom-com.

I really liked this one. It’s a very nice love story.

A simple love story, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit.
