hunter x hunter’s little mini-game things in the show are full of holes and inconsistencies it irritates me. The newest addition that irritates me is when they were playing dodgeball and

gon, killua, and hisoka caught the damn ball so the one guy left was out, but he didn’t go out and no one questioned it, funny thing is that they stated all the rules before the game started so it wasn’t even like an assumed rule since everyone has plated dodgeball and knows the basics they explicitly said if someone inside the court catches the ball the person who threw it is out.
but whatever, it’s another trashy shonen, I expected as much. I do like the characters, and story for this one though, and you get a real sense of improvement from the main characters, unlike naruto where he barely improves over the course of the 115 episodes I watched of that trash. And I’m only like 71 episodes into hunter x hunter and they’ve improved so much, well I guess I really only have Naruto to compare this to so maybe there are shonen trash shows that don’t absolutely suck donkey balls.
The manga is really good so I’m intrigued by your opinion of the anime. Are you watching the original or the 2012 adaptation?

there are lots of things like that, sometimes they end up being “explained” in a later episode but that is more for stuff that isn’t related to something competitive (I find the holes and inconsistencies that relate to something competitive to be more tilting as that seems like cheating to me because it is tbh) and by “explained” I mean you have to infer something that "fixes the hole or inconsistency for example

The most recent one I’ve seen that does not relate to some competition is that there is a video game that once you enter you can’t get out unless you win the game (and if you die in the game you die IRL so that isn’t an escape either), they say some people have even given up on getting out and have decided to just live in the game world, but once they get into the game world people are leaving left and right, and it turns out you can leave if you have something that is in limited supply and the reason people can’t get out is because that supply is gone this is all revealed like 10 episodes later so you’re left sitting there watching the anime feeling like this whole arc is kinda shit because the main risk of not being able to get out has been taken away.
The inconsistencies in the competitive shit stays though, I have yet to see one of those explained later.

I’ve not seen Hunter x Hunter but I know it’s made by the same guy who did Yu Yu Hakusho and Level E (which is supposed to be pretty good and packed with comedy iirc), so he’s certainly capable of making some quality stuff.

Damn I am really surprised that English dub for MHA is already caught up with the Japanese release was watching S3 with my nephew, dude blew threw it quick. Now he will know the suffering of weekly releases.

Strike the Blood is very fucking irritating, a character can have a fucking hole in their chest and they feel the need to pull he “don’t be a pervert senpai” bullshit, it fucking never stops.

I’m not saying hunter x hunter is bad, I enjoy it a fair amount, I’m just saying there are some holes and inconsistencies scattered throughout the series, mostly in the little games they play which kinda irritates me as far as the ones concerning the games go, all the other ones are just kinda sitting in the back of my mind during that arc.

This has been bugging me for a while now. Is there a genre of manga where a dude spontaneously becomes a father and has to adapt to it because either its a forced responsibility or they themselves feel responsible to do so?
I read Otaku no musume-san in the past and I really enjoyed that but could not find much else.
Most recently Hinamatsuri gave off that vibe but in a more comedic fashion not with a serious tone of our natural world.
