Hey @wendell, watched the video on Threadripper pro on the Asus motherboard. Will you be putting Linux on it at some point? I would love to see what it might support around encrypted virtualization.

Yeah it should — a bit disappointing if it’s not there. I was hoping that you might be able to use it on the workstation platform.

Im grabbing one of these systems with some of my tax return money this year. Looking at memory now. Is there any reason for me to get the V-Color 6400 dimms over Kingston? They look like they would be exactly the same specs to me:
Both have same capacity, MHz, same timings, both have EXPO profiles, but the Kingston is $450 cheaper… So as long as anyone doesnt see anything Im somehow missing I am leaning towards Kingston. That just seems like a huge price difference for being the same.
edit: actually I was looking in the wrong spec section, the V-Color has much worse timings too for that higher price.
