I am new on this site and I have no technical expertise.
I purchased by mistake a Zalman ZM-K900M Mechanical Gaming Keyboard from an overseas site. ( I think I meant to order the ZMK700M)
I just wanted a reliable key board for ordinary home office work and I had read somewhere that mechanical boards were the best quality
However this one has flashing lights which is the last thing I want.
Is there any way of turning the lights off or should I just learn my lesson and throw the board away and go down to Harvery Norman to get a more suitable board?
RGB keyboard usually come with different lighting modes through which you can switch with some key or key combination. Search for such a key (look in the manual if you can't find anything) and switch through all modes. There's probably one with constant backlight and or lights turned off completely.
On some keyboards you can also select the brightness. Turning that down to zero would also be a possible solution.
I know this sounds weird, but just read through the manual
