Xeon Processor Install Question

I’m installing a second Xeon E5-2697 v2 into a ProLiant DL380 Gen8. Is there suppose to be an indication of how to orient the chip? Other Intel chips match the triangle to triangle. I don’t even see an indication on this motherboard.

I’ve got it. I didn’t recognize the corner being different from the rest.

HPE loves those stupid plastic CPU caddies which is probably why it isn’t straight forward as it should be… Just for my own curiosity sake, did the CPU seat down okay without the caddy/frame?

I was worried about that as well as it came from ebay, it didn’t have one. Running like a champ. I looked at some videos and people don’t seem to bother with them. With the heat sink and clamp, I don’t see how it would move.
