Hey Everyone,
Here is my is current situation. I am "trying" to build a home server running either esxi or xenserver.
The purpose of the server is run multiple service on multiple operating systems.
The issue I am facing is that one of these VM's I want to have nVidia Game Stream setup to stream games to my shield devices. I have tried using a ASUS GTX 670 DC Mini and a ASUS GTX 770 DC2, both have returned code 43 after the installation of the nvidia drivers.
The Hardware I am using is as follows
Intel Xeon E5-2620 (Gen 1) @ 2.00GHz
Asus P9X79 WS
2x Corsair Vengence Pro 16Gb (2x8Gb) DDR3 1866MHz CAS 9-10-9
Adaptec 8405 4 Port SAS Raid Card
2x 256GB Corsair Force LX SSD (RAID 1)
2x 1TB WD Black 7200RPM 3.5" HDD (RAID 1)
nVidia Geforce GT 210 (Primary GPU)
nVidia Geforce GTX 670/GTX 770
Corsair RM450 swapped with Corsair HX1050
Attempted this using VMware ESXi 6.0U1 using http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1010789 as the method for attaching the GPU to the VM, I have only installed the VIB for the RAID controller in this config
I also used XenServer 6.5.0 Stock I attempted to mount the GPU using the integrated GPU passthough feature and http://www.sotechdesign.com.au/xenserver-6-2-how-to-set-up-passthrough-of-a-pci-or-pci-express-device/
I have tried this using the latest version of the nvidia driver 359.06 - WHQL on Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2.
Does anyone have any solutions or ideas to my Delmer?
Any response my be helpful, thank you.
