Been on the hunt for awhile now for a super budget PC for the old man that could play Obduction. I sorta accidentally bought a A-6 5400K on ebay now I need a FM2/FM2+ board. I know these boards new are not really unreasonable however I cant pay $40 for a build that has as its core a $9 CPU. A few searches on ebay/CL reveal no one wants to let one of these go for cheap, (like 10-20 cheap) so anyone wanna loose their old board?
What type of ram you need?
Not sure. Needs be 8 GB for sure but ram speed/cas latency might be fodder for a future upgrade. A single 8GB stick at 1600 will prob be the easiest although I might end up getting a 2100 speed module because I think that 's what the CPU max capable and he'll be using the on board graphix for some time me thinks. My preference would be to buy the board and ram together for simplicity's sake.
