I wouldn't buy either one. Both are too overpriced for the performance that you get from them.
Well if you allready own the GTX970 and you can afford the the i7.
Then why not?
The extra threads and performance can allways be handy for other things.
I would personaly just do it.
Pretty much the story of my life. I had to use a system with 3gb of ram on windows 7, I thought I was going to pull my hair out. I can't function on 3 chrome tabs.
My friends say "Why have so many tabs, close them so you use less ram?" Why have extra ram if you're not going to use it.
I've decided to go with the 6600k. The 6700k is just too pricey considering it's well above msrp.
